BEAUTIFUL PAIR of Statue Figurines, hand carved, in the Mayan/Aztec/Inca /Tiki Idol Style.
These figurines were purchased from a local artist from the Los Angeles area in the late 1970s or early 1980s.  One statue is approximately 4 and 1/4 inches tall.  The other is approximately 5 and 1/4 inches tall. The pieces are believed to be hand carved from Obsidian
(volcanic glass) stone.
The statues are believed to have been in made in 1977 based on the hand
inscription
on the bottom of each figurine. They are in excellent condition and have no chipping.  These items have been well cared and would be an excellent addition to any collection.
